This annual event attracts automobile enthusiasts, potential buyers, and industry professionals, offering a platform for companies to display their latest models, innovations, and services. The show also includes test drives, product launches, and interactive activities, providing visitors with a comprehensive automotive experience.
Tata Motors (The Latest EV Punch):
Tata Motors has officially launched its latest electric vehicle, the Punch EV, at the Nada Auto Show. The starting price for this new model is set at NPR 3,399,000.
The company has introduced three variants: the SMR variant priced at NPR 3,399,000, the LR variant at NPR 3,699,000, and the SLR variant at NPR 3,899,000.
The Punch is the first model built on Tata's dedicated EV platform, the ‘Act EV,’ and has already demonstrated impressive performance. Although the car has been in Nepal for nearly a month, its pricing was only recently disclosed.
The Punch EV features a connected LED DRL at the front, split headlights, and a muscular body shape, giving it a striking first impression. It also boasts a new design two-spoke flat-bottom sporty steering wheel, a 10.25-inch floating center screen, a fully digital instrument cluster, and leatherette seat covers, all contributing to its premium feel.
The Punch EV is equipped with ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera, and a rotary gear selector in the center console, which are standout features. It also includes an electric parking brake and a wireless mobile charging pad, enhancing convenience. Even though it is categorized as a micro-SUV, the inclusion of a sunroof is a notable feature. Furthermore, the sunroof can be opened and closed using voice commands, adding to its appeal.
The rear of the vehicle also offers sample space with seats that come with an armrest, although there are no rear AC vents. However, the front blower is capable of cooling the rear area effectively.
The Punch EV comes with 16-inch wheels, 190 mm of ground clearance, and a 90 kW motor, similar to those found in larger SUVs. The Eco mode provides enough confidence for overtaking, and for those needing more power, there's always the Sports mode. The Punch EV is powered by a 35 kWh battery, providing ample energy for various driving conditions.
